Valentine’s Day 2009 is almost here. Spring is approaching fast, love is in the air, and teenagers in love have already started to think of the best Valentines gifts for their partners. Such gifts can be anything, from ipod nano cases to expensive jewelry. I don’t know if Romeo and Juliet used to give each other presents on Valentine’s Day, but Shakespeare was aware of this celebration for sure: in Hamlet, Ophelia mentions Valentine’s Day when she loses her minds. It is true that she doesn’t speak a word about gifts, but there has to be something there.
So, my favorite type of Valentine gifts are the hearts, in all sizes and made of various materials such as gold, silver, or even chocolate. Another interesting type of gifts are the personalized ones, like the pictures mosaic. Mosaic: a picture produced by arranging smaller tile images to form a vibrant larger picture. This is what I’m going to prepare for my sweetheart for Valentine’s 2009: a collage of photos of ourselves, in our happiest moments. I find it interesting and besides, it is an affordable gift.
