ZAGG Folio, the new kid in the iPad 2 town

Sorry for not posting more often, but I’ve been very busy lately. You know how vacations are: planning, planning, planning, then executing what you planned. Hotels, planes, automobiles, things to see, things to avoid. As busy as I’ve been, I still found time to look for new iPad 2 accessories and I found a smashing one: Zagg Folio for iPad 2. This ZAGGfolio thing is a folio, a stand and a bluetooth keyboard for the iPad 2, at the same time. It looks great and it’s the best tool to turn the iPad into a really small laptop. It’s cute and I want one for my iPad 2.

What makes a good web design?

If we were to make a list, here’s what should be on it:

1. Good web design means good usability. Users need to be able to find their way around your site with ease. All information should be accessible within 2-3 clicks from the front page.

2. It has to be pleasant to the eye. Creativity and art should show in the website, no matter how serious its topic may be.

3. It has to surprise the user in a positive way.

4. It has to lead the visitor towards the selling page (or the page which is your objective to bring your customer to read).

What else? Can you add some more elements?

Hey, I almost forgot: the site should be relevant for its main topic and keywords, so users can find it in Google, Bing, Yahoo or whatever other search engines.

Do You Want An iPad 2? Find Out What Accessories You Can Get

I must confess I’m impressed with the speed of reaction of some producers of accessories for personal gadgets. If I think the the iPad 2 was announced only 2-3 days ago, I can’t believe there’s already such a wide choice of accessories for iPad2, from cases to screen protectors and stands.

So far, I think the best accessory is the Smart Cover from Apple. I love the way they made it be so easy to install, using magnetic attraction. I also like the fact that it puts the iPad to sleep when closed and wakes it up again when you open it. I also like the choice of colors offered by Apple. Five colors come in polyurethane and five others in leather. I would have loved to see the same color in both versions, though, because I might only want to buy some polyurethane covers. I care about animals and hate to see them killed for notepad covers, wallets and belts, which can be very well made from artificial leather and still look good.

I also liked the AV adapter which will allow me to connect the iPad to my HDMI TV set. That is cool, I can’t wait to make nice videos and show them to my friends on the large TV screen.

What about you? Are you excited about the new iPad 2? If you already have an iPad, do you think it’s worth upgrading or you reckon it’s better to wait until the iPad 3 will be out?

Tips for baking awesome pork chops

Cooking pork chops is a challenge for many people. That’s because it’s so easy to ruin them! Just overcook the meat and you’ll end up with some chewy stuff nobody will appreciate. Of course they won’t tell you, but you’ll probably join them for dinner, so you’ll know.

Here are a few tips for cooking tender pork chops:

Bake them rather than frying or grilling. Baking allows you to cook the meat until it really gets tender and flavored. There are tons of recipes available, so all you need is a google search in order to find the best one for you.
Try stuffed pork chop recipes. It’s a bit more work, but worth every minute of it. Stuffing combined with the meat will result in a flavorful combination that will make your family love you even more.
Marinate the chops at least four hours before cooking. Preparing a marinade is easy. Then leave the meat in the marinade in the refrigerator for one day, or at least for 4-5 hours before cooking it. It will be nice and tender.
Beat the meat a little bit before cooking. Use one of those special meat hammers and some plastic foil. The foil is good because it minimizes the mess in your kitchen and prevents the meat from tearing apart.

Last but not least, always respect the cooking time and the temperature indicated in the recipes. Both are very important.

Water Ionizers: Are The Cool Or Not?

I’ve been wanting to buy a water ionizer since a while ago. This desire came after I read some articles like this one: http://www.alltipsandtricks.com/alkaline-water-benefits-water-ionizer-systems/ about the benefits of alkaline water for our health. Although I’m not a believer in such things, I must confess I was almost convinced a water ionizer is a must-have for any household.

My problem is that I don’t know which model to choose. I learned that there are so many different versions of ionizer devices, so the more I read, the more confused I grow. I kind of like the Jupiter series, but they are not the cheapest of all, so I can’t decide whether I should spend money now on one of them, or I should wait and do some more research, maybe I can find some cheaper ones that are as good.

As always, when I have a problem, I like to ask my readers about it. Do you have a water ionizer? If yes, how did you choose it?

Christmas Trees: Natural or Artificial?

Christmas is almost here and I’m still pondering whether to buy a real pine tree like I always do or to switch to an artificial one. There are artificial trees which look very realistic, so this could be a good option to save a few real trees. This is an artificial Christmas tree which I quite like, so I might buy it soon. I like its realistic look and the fact that it comes with 700 lights. The removable pine cones will be an awesome toy for all children in our family, that’s for sure.

What do you think? Are artificial trees the solution to keep our planet green?

Don’t you know what a swipe auctions scam is? You’ll find out more if you click on my previous link and read the article. Briefly, the scam goes on like this: there’s an auctions website where you can find all sort of items as cheap as 100 times less their real value. However, there’s a catch: you have to bid on them, the sum going up 1c with each new bid. Then, one person wins the bid, but all others have been ripped off their money because they are not going to see anything back. I even suspect there are websites which don’t actually give the winning bid to a real person, but they assign it to a fake user inside their system, so they can sell the same item multiple times,

The new iPhone 4 is a bit more than one month old now and there are many people who got theirs and even got enough time to get annoyed with the antenna issue, which you probably know about already. This can be easily fixed by getting one of these iPhone 4 cases, which will act as a barrier between your hand and the antenna.

Well, if you own an iPhone 4, maybe you need to know that Apple will send you a free case to fix the signal issue. That’s nice of them. Even better, if you have already bought a Bumper case from Apple, you are going to get your money back. However, if you want a case from a third party manufacturer you’ll have to pay for it. I like my iPod Nano very much. I think it has an awesome design. However, as I keep it in my pocket together with lots of other stuff, I need to hide it behind a protective case. Looking at several iPod nano cases, I decided I like most the Switcheasy CapsuleThins cases which you can see in the video below:

If you watched the video, you’ve seen that there are nine colors available. I really have a hard time in making up my mind for which one to go. I love at least two of them: the violet one is the best, closely followed by the silver one. Maybe I should buy both cases, what do you think? What would you buy for your iPod?
